NASHVILLE, TENN. – (APRIL 10, 2020) – Today singer/songwriter Jillian Edwards introduces the debut song, “Heaven’s Eyes,” from her forthcoming EP, Meadow, which will release on May 15th on her label, The Deeply Co. With music ready-made for rest, solitude and comfort, Edwards invites listeners into a state of abiding on her new project, which is timely for the season the world currently facing.

“I’ve always felt like God has given me a clear vision that music is what I’m made to do,” Jillian Edwards says. “I want to provide healing, and that for me comes in beauty. So that’s the heart of these songs. I really want them to be medicine for hurting people, and that’s everyone. If my biggest dream for Meadow comes true, it would be that someone who is walking through the worst day of their life could hear these songs and have peace take over their heart knowing that God is crazy about them, and He works all things together for good.”

The songs that make up Meadow do just that. Like a healing balm, the gentle tracks lovingly point to hope in the midst of trials, anchored by a God who brings peace that passes all understanding.

“I love that I can offer my heart and soul in every song,” she says. “I pray for all of my songs to have the mark of God on them, but this record is the first record in years where I’ve really felt like I can identify my face and my name and my spirit with these songs.”

Meadow gives the singer/songwriter the opportunity to once again wear her heart on her sleeve. Co-writing with David Leonard, Jonathan Smith, Peter Groenwald, Josh Bronleewe, Tony Wood and Jessie Early, the EP was produced by Lucas Morton (Jill Andrews, Hush Kids) and executive-produced by five-time GRAMMY® Award-winning artist Steven Curtis Chapman, her father-in-law.
